Meeting and kissing What to do ? Just expect to be caught kissing the air, trying to say hello to a french person. It's part of the theatre when we meet foreigners. The whole kissing thing is tricky by nature through, even for the French themselves the number of kisses remains a mystery. Some people make a point to warn you before you start! It may depend on the context, the region and the people... Oh dear. If you can’t be bothered, just say you have the flu. Let’s stick to a good’ole wave of the hand I say. What not to do The fake kissing with the sound “mwa” as you see it in Fashion caricature in the UK. It’s just SO ‘engleesh’. |
