Any top up for your walkie talkie?

This is what Salim, the Post office man, told me this morning after I had just posted a few letters and some Odd orders (we are having a surge of orders these last few weeks - how ironic). He was saying "Anything else? Any top up for your walkie talkie?" It made me laugh, it seemed to come straight from a Postman Pat storyline! What a low tech reference... It's funny and still very accurate - I understood what he meant. My Nokia is a grown-up version of my childhood "talkie walkie" (as I would say in French).

They eat baguette, we eat Summer rolls

J and I have tried some Vietnamese cooking at the weekend and he had to go to a real Vietnamese supermarket on Walworth road to get these. They are rice paper sheets, to make vegetable Summer rolls. I thought they were delicious and perfect for our vegetarian guest. How weird to think we actually managed to get the ingredients for that recipe quiet easily. This reminded me of our trip to Vietnam. They eat baguette in Hanoï, while we eat Summer rolls in London. Voilà. Complete culture mix.

Odd is ending

I thought I should start this blog by saying that Odd is no more. Maya and I have been creating Odd three years ago now (http://www.odd-label.com) - our site is still up for a while - and now, it's over.
A combination of factors have led us to this decision and this is it, we've agreed there will be no more Odd t-shirts. Sigh.

Well, there are a few kicking around for cheap Christmas presents but other than that the collection ends there.
